4 Questions on Sexuality

I have 4 questions thats needs to be answered for my Communications class. I have attached the necessary readings for these questions. Each answer should be academic quality. Each answer should be half a page long, so 2 pages for 4 answers. Thank you.

1)

Please review carefully the models of sexual orientation in the modules for this week. Which model do you feel is most helpful in understanding sexuality as an identity and why? Be thorough in your explanation. Keeping in mind no model is perfect in explaining the human experience, what are some limitations of the models?

2)

In the Whitaker article in which the author explores the intersectionality of his various identities…including sexual orientation, he states:

Clark cautioned that education in this society often means control, not freedom, a way to enforce the values of the dominant culture on the rest of us, and a way for some of us to fight our way to the top, achieve success, work to control those at the bottom of the hierarchy, and then blame them for being there.

Has this been your experience while attending university in however many years you have been doing so? Please explain and give examples.

3)

We will discuss this question in class and I want you to use this quiz question to reflect on your experience before our discussion.

How were you educated (learned) about sex and sexuality and was it beneficial to developing your own sexuality? What were the limitations of how you learned about sex and sexuality? What were/are the values attached to why you were taught this way?

4)

Do you have a particular identity that has caused you stress, discomfort and/or you have felt hesitant to express in certain situations? Please explain. How have you handled this challenge?
