In this week’s lab, we end our series by looking at different forms of bioconservation to prevent the extinction of different species. Bioconservation is the protection of global biodiversity starting at local, regional, and global communities, ecosystems, and cultures and applies to both plants and animals.

Describe one type of threat to life (i.e. global warming, pollution, deforestation, overharvesting, etc.) and indicate how it is detrimental to the environment. Then research a bioconservation effort that can help mitigate the threat and provide a link about the efforts that help reduce the endangerment of the species.
