The first line of communication I’ll have available is electronic including phone and email. In my current organization I hear the phrase “Just got out of a meeting that should have been an email.” Sometimes employees need to have a short communication session whether it be for relaying information or asking a quick question. It also is an easy way of sending well-defined information and documents, (McShane & Von Glinow, 2013). I feel that with our current technology these are the two best options within an organization to keep communication open and ongoing on a consistent basis.
