Business Manual

From your analysis, design a short manual on “How to do business in Japan” to guide potential entrepreneurs coming from the United States of America. The document should incorporate all the business issues into a concise, easy to read manual that looks professional and written in a business context. Be creative! Use images and make it visually interesting.

The intent of the business manual is to “introduce” the Japan to a potential investor or entrepreneur. You will have to touch on some key information about the country such as relevant socio-economic indicators, demographics, etc. Here is a sample of a comprehensive manual: https://www.pwc.de/de/internationale-maerkte/assets/doing-business-mexico.pdf (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.

This is a long document but is a good sample of what goes into it. If you look at the table of contents, this will give you a pretty good idea of what the contents should be. You may use the outline below to guide you:

1) Brief country profile (Japan)
– geography and climate
– brief history
– political and legal system
– population trend (more young people, adults, seniors, etc?)
– socio-economic patterns (family size, income levels, etc?)
– current economy (you can include performance in the past 3-5 years)

2) Business environment
– investor considerations and climate
– industry bases (agriculture, tech, bio, medical, tourism. etc?)
– government policy on foreign investments
– incentives for foreign investment
– any restrictions on foreign investments
-in terms of $$$
-in terms of ownership?
– foreign exchange policy
