While there are many other and more pressing ethical issues or dilemmas that we are faced with, but what have and has been for many decades is Fraud, that continues to be the greatest impact in the future, and so far has no intention of ever being depleted or resolved in ways that will prevent it from ever happening.

Fraud is defined as being an act or course of deception, an intentional concealment, omission, or perversion of truth, to gain unlawful or unfair advantage. (Ferrell, Fraedrich & Ferrell, 2013) define fraud as “when an individual engages in deceptive practices to advance his or her own interests over those of his or her organization or some other group, to purposeful communicate that deceives, manipulates, or conceals facts in order to create a false impression”(pg 78).

Why is fraud important because of the threat that it poses on society and many organization, on an average fraud cost us billions of dollars a year from stolen identity, cyber attacks, the impact on companies is costly as well loss of revenue that also can damage the company’s credibility with their loyal customers, stakeholders, and investors, I expect that as society becomes more technical the more vulnerable we will become at being a victim of fraud, while many companies has privacy rules and regulations, and promises to keep our information protected, but I honestly do not see any relief, it will only get worse the criminal always find a leak somewhere, for the sake of possible control, wealth.

Because of the new high risk of fraud in my opinion, has lead me to question, just about everything that I do, when it comes to answering the phone, and the way that I make purchases when I go out, while many of us including myself use my cell phone for everything, unknown calls are endless, I no longer give out the correct number to somethings, when I go to different trade shows , I take cash and do not fill out any register to win information.
