Statement of purpose
I am applying for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Project Management Systems in your esteemed University because I want a career in the research and as professional in Project Management. I am interested in factors that affect the competitive performance of a candidate’s future concern, and the way changes in affect project management structure, long-term Engineering Management strategy, Manuel development, manufacturing criteria, Management network, the need of information and standard systems. For gaining appreciation in a certain area, and related fields of these and related issues, it is essential for me to have a strong grounding in Research in project management and Information Systems. I believe that the Ph.D. would be invaluable in helping me achieve my set objectives in the information systems and project management. It would enable me to channel my Quantitative and conceptual skills in analyzing and making the decision to choose a correct area for the candidate and guide them for achieve their destination and access their intention and future chance of their success in their chosen fields and guide them towards their designated planes.
Information systems and project management issues would open new avenues in research. After earning a Doctor of Philosophy degree, I would like to apply in leading multinational Project Management organization or attach with leading information systems organization initially and then I will use my academic and professional knowledge to set up my business; and investigate issues concerned with technology as it affects organization strategy, structure, and systems that will be useful for information systems and project management area.
Your esteemed University to broaden my perspective and to improve my career prospects. information systems and project management are not new to me; I enjoyed applying quantitative and conceptual skills to analyze practical problems. I did very well in projects, desk research, workshops and class discussions. Upon undergraduate from Al Bahah university, I was offered a job in a Management Consultant, I can better understand the management consulting firm. This is where I learned how to apply the principles and lessons of Project management to real life. It was fascinating and transformed my interest in Engineering project management research into a passion. I read extensively, trying to keep myself informed about information systems and project management thinking in my areas of work – structure, and systems in industry and in the organization.
I believe that my background as my Bachelor in information systems from Al Bahah University in Saudi Arabia and my Master of Science in Project and system engineering management and Continuing education in Project and system engineering management from The Catholic University of America has prepared me for such a career. I have found research fascinating since my undergraduate days, where I received the highest marks In the Department for my final-year undergraduate dissertation; and was judged to have presented the best paper at a Departmental seminar. My four years of information system have provided me with a strong grounding in information system and the theoretical aspects of the field. after my Master in I join BUPA Arabia as Senior Back office Operation officer, all my previous education, professional courses and my professional job experience made me a good candidate of doing my Doctorate of Philosophy in Project Management Systems as I been a good team worker and will bring my experience of professional knowledge and my education in east and west enabled me to work with team even with member from culturally diverse areas as I have the experience to work with culturally diverse team in Saudi Arabia and in the United States of America.
All this has given me valuable insights into the environment in which companies operates
how they affect this environment and are affected by it. It has enabled me to observe some of the better and worse ways of running a successful Business. Certain assignments have been thought-provoking. The time limitation on each assignment has taught me to plan well, work systematically and keep my reports up-to-date. At the same time, having to defend my analyses and recommendations, during both internal discussions and presentations to clients, has taught me to think rigorously and creatively. Our extensive use of computers for analysis and preparation of presentations and reports has made me familiar with a spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation packages. While the highly diverse nature of assignments has helped me gain a broad exposure, it has not been possible for me to study specific project management systems -related issues in depth. I realize that to be able to do so; I need a better understanding of the various facets of Project Management; the interlinkages between different functional areas and between different management entities, equally important, I need further training in research methodology. I want to do a Ph.D. in project management systems program at your esteemed University for many reasons. I have heard about the university Ph.D. program in project management from friends and counselor and am impressed with the emphasis placed on technical and analytical skills, general Engineering and project management orientation and rigorous research methodology.
While the study and research in project management systems is my prime objective today. My interests in literature, music, travel, and nature help me maintain a sense of perspective, I have organized and participated in some extra-curricular activities during my college days. I have won university and national level prizes in various areas, writing and quizzes I also believe that each of us must give something back to society – to this end, I have worked on a voluntary basis for the different Project for younger people. I hope that the admissions committee finds my background and strengths commensurate with the requirements of the University Ph.D. program.
