To complete this short paper, read the document Guidelines for Conducting a Stakeholder Analysis. This document includes instructions and tools derived from academic theory and real-world application to produce a methodology for identifying stakeholders in healthcare reform efforts.

Prompt: In your short paper, you will explain the steps of the stakeholder analysis process. You will also explain and examine the importance of the overall process to the development of strategy and implementation of change. This will help you understand how to work with your stakeholders and analyze the needs of the organization to effect change.

In this paper, you will describe the process used by HIM professionals by answering the following questions:

 What are the purpose and benefits of stakeholder analysis process?  What is the description of process?  How would you apply the process to a change plan?  What is the role of the Partnerships for Health Reform?  What policies, procedures, and/or tools would you recommend for use in executing the change?
