Part ONE

Write a ONE page paper on "Readiness for Teamwork"

Please read page 322 in DuBrin, A. (2004). Applying psychology: Individual and organizational effectiveness.

Utilizing the self-assessment exercise 13-1 on page 322, examine your readiness for teamwork in skills, knowledge, and attitudes. If you are not currently working, use any team experience. You may use your family or a social organization. Rate your competency level as competent (N) or needs improvement (I) on each listed skill, knowledge component, and attitude. Summarize the results in one paragraph explaining areas where you are competent and where you can improve. Describe at least three specific developmental steps you can take for improvement in effective teamwork.

Write a one page paper on "Leadership Skills"

Please read chapter 14 in DuBrin, A. (2004). Applying psychology: Individual and organizational effectiveness

What skills and behaviors do you think are essential for effective leadership, and why? Which of the four types of leadership styles discussed in chapter 14, do you think is most desirable, and why? Utilize at least one outside source in this discussion.
