Research a flood event that has occurred in the past using a variety of resources. The event you choose may include a flash flood or a slow-rising regional flood. It could be natural or man-made. Your paper should include the location, dates, causes, and environmental impact of the event. Include information about the geologic and geographic setting. Why did the flood occur in this particular spot? What conditions existed that caused flooding? What have people done to possibly increase the intensity of the flood? Show me that you understand the geologic reasons for the event. Give me good scientific geologic data. How did the event affect people, buildings, and roads in the area? Include any other information that you think is important or interesting.
